Mel Gibson Pulled from "Hangover 2" Plans

Just one day after it was announced that he'd landed a post-scandal job, Mel Gibson has been pulled from the "Hangover 2" lineup.

Of the situation, Director Todd Phillips released a statement confirming that the "Lethal Weapon" actor's cameo has been scrapped from the movie's plans.

?I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of [Warner Bros. president] Jeff Robinov and his team,? Phillips told in a statement.

He adds, ?But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew.?
